Did you know that you have two options for charging your BMW iX3? You can choose to use either a regular wall plug or a charging station. However, when you're on the road, public charging can only be done through a charging station as a wall plug doesn't provide enough power. The charging speed of your electric vehicle (EV) is determined by the type of charging station or Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) you select, as well as your EV's maximum charging capacity. To discover all of the charging alternatives available to you for your BMW iX3 model, including the estimated time it will take to charge the battery from completely depleted to completely full, refer to the table below.
Europe
Charging methods for electric vehicles (EVs) vary throughout Europe according to country. Some countries employ 1-phase connections as their primary means of charging, while others use 3-phase connections. Below is a table that outlines all potential ways to charge a BMW iX3, but availability may depend on your location. For information on accessible charging options in your area, please consult with your local electric vehicle charging networks.

Fast Charging (10 → 80%)
Efficient fast charging is key to extending the range of your journey by delivering the maximum amount of range in the shortest amount of time possible. When the state-of-charge (SoC) hits 80%, the charging power starts to decrease significantly, which is why conventional fast charging usually ends at around 80% SoC. The rate at which your electric vehicle charges depends on the charging station used and the maximum charging power that your EV can handle. To help you quickly charge your BMW iX3, we've provided a detailed guide in the table below.
Max. Power: maximum power provided by charge point
Avg. Power: average power provided by charge point over a session from 10% to 80%
Time: time needed to charge from 10% to 80%
Rate: average charging speed over a session from 10% to 80%
